NUNO DELGADO

  • Developing life values through sport — methodology and pedagogy for sport professionals
  • President of “Escola de Judo Nuno Delgado”, Portugal

Nuno Delgado is an Olympic judoka who won Portugal’s first Olympic medal in Judo. Graduated in Sport Sciences and postgraduate by the University of Bath, he is a 6th Dan coach and founder and President of the “Escola de Judo Nuno Delgado”, leading nationwide civic and sport education programmes impacting thousands of children. He has held prominent leadership roles in national and European judo structures, including the EJU Kids Judo Commission and Erasmus+ projects. He is also the creator of the “Train for Life” methodology and has coordinated major international initiatives linking sport, education and social development.

Tamás Bere is the Head Instructor at Budai Judo Academy and the national coordinator of the Hungarian strand of the USSI Erasmus+ programme. With over twenty years of experience in judo coaching and youth sport education, he oversees the implementation of project activities and alignment with the international framework. He coordinates workshops, mentors coaches, and leads school-based initiatives in collaboration with European and Western Balkan partners. His work focuses on using judo to promote inclusion and personal development, while equipping coaches to act as community leaders.

JUEL JARANI

Juel Jarani is a scholar in physical activity and health, serving since 2003 as lecturer at the Sports University of Tirana, where he was Vice-Rector for Research (2013–2020) and Rector (2014–2015). He holds a PhD in Physical Activity and Health (IUSM Rome) and two European master’s degrees, and has extensive experience coordinating and evaluating national and Erasmus+ research projects. He is author/co-author of monographs and highly cited papers indexed in Web of Science and Scopus, and serves on editorial boards and in international professional bodies. He currently sits on the FIEP World Director Board (2021–2024) and was ranked first in Albania in Sport Sciences citation impact by the AD Scientific Index 2022.

STEVO POPOVIC

  • Universal Sports for Social Impact: Cases from Montenegro

Stevo Popovic is a sports and exercise scientist with over fifteen years of experience in planning, conducting and evaluating health- and exercise-related research, including clinical trials. With a PhD from the University of Novi Sad and postdoctoral training at the University of Ljubljana, he teaches and conducts research at the University of Montenegro. His expertise spans physical and social anthropology, allowing him to address both biological and societal dimensions of physical activity. He holds leading roles in national and international projects and serves in governing bodies of professional and scientific organisations.

SARA OSMANI

  • Judo in Kosovo: From Sports Education to International Success

Sara Osmani is a member of the Kosovo national judo team with over eleven years of active experience in the sport, having started practising judo at the age of eight. A multiple national champion and black belt holder, she has won more than 100 medals in national and international competitions. Her achievements include top results in Balkan Championships and European Cups, where she has proudly represented Kosovo. She is also a licensed judo coach, committed to promoting excellence and discipline in the sport.

ROGÉRIO JORGE

  • Judo practice with children and young people in residential care settings
  • Santarem District Judo Association Board Member, Portugal

Rogério Jorge is a Clinical and Health Psychologist, currently working with the Multidisciplinary Community Intervention Team in Salvaterra de Magos, with previous experience in residential care services at Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Santarém.

Master’s degree in Risk and Violence, with a focus on social analysis and intervention.

2nd Dan in Judo; nationally medal-winning competitor up to the U17 category; 10 years of coaching experience; President of the Board of the Judo Club of Salvaterra de Magos and Board Member of the Judo Association of the Santarém District.
